The “Let’s Go to Troodos 3” event is an initiative of the First Lady, held at the Presidential Residence in Troodos. It aims to showcase the richness of Cypriot gastronomy, music and tradition, while bringing the public closer to some of the Republic of Cyprus’ iconic buildings and sites.

The event aims to support local producers, small businesses in mountain communities and local creators. To this end, the programme features a variety of hands-on workshops, giving visitors the opportunity to experience traditional Cypriot crafts and flavours. Among other activities, visitors can participate in workshops on mosaic making, perfume making, traditional music, pottery, palouzes (creamy dessert of grape juice and flour) making, traditional cooking, weaving and loom weaving, as well as silk making.

The programme also features live music performances, as well as traditional tsiattista (improvised poetic duels) performed by local folk poets, curated by the Cyprus Music Archive.

These activities are designed for visitors of all ages and offer a wonderful opportunity to experience Cypriot tradition firsthand, discover traditional techniques and engage with crafts and occupations that form an integral part of our cultural identity.
