Kolotzi Festival

Head to the mountain village of Moutoullas in the heart of the Marathasa Valley for a flavourful autumn celebration. The festival is dedicated to Kolotzi, the Cypriot dialect name for all vegetables of the Cucurbita genus, including pumpkins, squash, gourds and marrows.

Savour the unique taste of Kolotzi in a variety of traditional and modern recipes: from sweet kolokotes (pastries filled with pumpkins, bulgur wheat and raisins) and zucchini spoon sweets to hearty pumpkin soups and sauces. And don’t miss the Kolotzi liqueur!
